This book seems particularly appropriate, especially for all you folks who are snowed in up in the Northeast. If you've never read it, or had it read to you, you are seriously missing out. It's a classic. Fabulous, detailed illustrations that you will look at again and again and still see something new. Follow Katy as she shovels out the town of Geoppolis and gets the town back on its feet.

Wow, major childhood feels right there. I'd forgotten all about this book, but it was one of my favorites as a little kid growing up in upstate NY

This book always made me think of Somerset, PA. That's the place I remember visiting that had the most snow when I was a kid. My grandparents lived there.

Hadn't thought about this in a long time, but this as one of my favorites. Along with Axle, the Freeway Cat , Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, and With No Apologies.
